Overspeed Protection Device

Description:

Protech-gii is a overspeed protection device designed to safely shut off steam turbines, gas turbines, water turbines and other equipment after detecting overspeed or overacceleration events. The device accurately monitors the speed and acceleration of the turbine rotor through active or passive probes (magnetoresistive sensors) and triggers an shutdown instruction to the turbine shutoff valve or the corresponding shutoff system.

According to the system design, protech-gii has two different structures, two double-redundant trip relay outputs with 3-take 2-vote logic or three independent no-vote relay outputs. The independent alarm relay, 4-20 ma speed output, and Modbus communications make the overspeed device easy to integrate into any turbine system. Protech-gii is available in both panel and wall mounted versions and can be installed on a standard 24-inch (610-mm) cabinet front panel or on a housing or guide near the turbine unit. The device is sealed against harsh conditions

It is installed with protection class IP56 (dust proof and protection against similar to the impact of ocean waves).

High reliability design, each ProTech GII module (A,B,C) can receive two high voltage power input (90-240 v ac /100-150 v dc) or one high voltage power input (90-240 v ac /100-150 v dc) and one low voltage power input (18-32 v dc) depending on the type of module. This design USES high signal selection so that the device can operate fully with one or two power sources available.
